 Open EAJA Act of 2010

Dear Ms. Lummis:

This is written to voice our support for the Open Equal Access to Justice Act of 2010.

It is essential for voters to know which organizations are using the EAJA, for what purposes it is being used, the amount of tax dollars that are being paid to these organizations, and the frequency that these organizations use the Act, so abuses of the system can be easily ascertained.

A database of every payment under the Act, posted within 30 days of payment, easily accessible through the Internet would be an excellent way to let the American people know how their tax dollars are being used –or abused.

We, and the organizations listed below, whole-heartedly support your efforts to put a spotlight on this process that is currently hidden from the public.  We will encourage every member of our organizations to urge their Representatives to vote for your bill when it is presented.

 Thank you.
